1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BetterTrade mobile application ("App", "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
BetterTrade is a personal trade-journaling and analytics application. It allows you to:
- Record and track your trading positions (stocks, forex, crypto, etc.).
- View performance analytics, charts, and periodic reports.
- Import trade history via CSV files.
- Export your data for external analysis.
BetterTrade is a journaling tool only. It does not execute trades, provide brokerage services, or manage any real or simulated funds.
3. Not Financial Advice
All content, analytics, statistics, and information provided by BetterTrade are for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, trading, legal, or tax advice. Past performance metrics displayed in the App do not guarantee future results.
You should consult a licensed financial adviser before making any investment or trading decisions. We accept no liability for any losses incurred as a result of information or analytics provided by the App.
4. Accounts & Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by your country) to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Using a false identity or impersonating another person is prohibited.
- You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts for abusive purposes.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App.
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service.
- Upload malicious code, malware, or content intended to disrupt the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data.
- Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent.
6. Intellectual Property
The BetterTrade name, logo, design, and all software code are the property of BetterTrade and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain full ownership of the trade data and journal entries you create. By storing your data in the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that data solely for the purpose of operating the Service on your behalf.
7. Data & Privacy
Your use of BetterTrade is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the App at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BetterTrade and its developer(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the App.
- Errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in analytics or content.
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.
- Any trading losses based on information from the App.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, if you violate these Terms or if required by law.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed per our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will provide in-app notice for material changes.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
