1. Who We Are
BetterTrade is a mobile trade journal and performance analytics application operated by its independent developer and currently distributed publicly through Google Play.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account information
When you create an account, we process your email address, display name, authentication provider, and basic account state such as whether your email has been verified. If you sign in with Google, Google provides the identity information needed for authentication.
2.2 Trade journal and review data
BetterTrade stores the data you enter into the app, including trade records, notes, tags, screenshots, sessions, pre-trade plans, playbooks, post-trade reviews, daily journal entries, and related preferences or cached summary data linked to your account.
2.3 Support and import-support data
If you contact us through the in-app support flow, we may process your feedback message, device and app version details needed for support, and optional import-support files you choose to upload so we can diagnose parsing issues.
2.4 Subscription and billing state
BetterTrade Pro subscriptions are handled through Google Play billing and RevenueCat. We receive subscription status, entitlement state, and related purchase metadata needed to unlock or restore Pro access. We do not store your full payment card information ourselves.
2.5 Analytics and crash diagnostics
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage in aggregate and to diagnose failures. Crash reports may include technical diagnostics such as stack traces, app version, device model, and operating system version.
2.6 Ads and consent
Free-tier users may see Google AdMob ads. Ads and measurement are gated behind Google consent flows where required, and the app can surface privacy-choice controls when Google requires them. Pro users are intended to have an ad-free experience.
2.7 Notifications
If you enable notifications, BetterTrade stores your notification preferences and may process Firebase Cloud Messaging token data or local scheduling metadata so reminders and supported remote alerts can be delivered.
2.8 Device and abuse-prevention signals
To help enforce free-plan quota protections, BetterTrade may use a one-way hashed device or install signal. The app is designed not to store raw hardware identifiers for this purpose.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Authenticate you and maintain your account session.
- Store, sync, and render your journal, review, and analytics data across devices.
- Calculate statistics, scorecards, reminders, and coaching outputs shown inside the app.
- Process imports, exports, MT5 helper flows, and support requests you initiate.
- Manage subscription state, feature access, and free-plan quota enforcement.
- Diagnose crashes, improve reliability, and monitor the health of the service.
- Request ads and measurement only when allowed by the applicable consent state.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your journal data to provide brokerage services, make trading decisions for you, or execute trades on your behalf.
4. Data Storage and Security
Core account and journal data is stored using Firebase services such as Authentication and Cloud Firestore. BetterTrade also uses App Check and app-side access controls to help protect Firebase-backed resources from abuse.
Screenshot uploads, optional import-support sample files, and certain helper flows are processed through Cloudflare services used by BetterTrade, including a Cloudflare Worker and Cloudflare R2 storage where applicable.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Access to user data is intended to be limited to the authenticated account owner and the processors needed to run the service.
5. Third-Party Services and Sharing
The app relies on the following categories of third-party processors and platforms:
- Google Firebase for Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check, and Cloud Messaging. See Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Sign-In for optional authentication.
- Google AdMob and Google consent tooling for ads and privacy-choice handling.
- RevenueCat and Google Play Billing for subscription management and entitlement state.
- Cloudflare for worker-based helper flows and R2-backed file storage used by the app.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a legal request we are obligated to honor.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your BetterTrade account data is retained until you delete the account or until retention is otherwise required by law. The in-app deletion flow is designed to remove your authentication record, trade journal data, screenshots, feedback records, import-support requests, and private sample files linked to the account.
You can start deletion from Profile -> Danger Zone -> Delete Account. Deleting the BetterTrade account does not by itself cancel an active Google Play subscription; billing must be managed through Google Play.
7. Your Choices
- Use email sign-in or Google Sign-In, subject to the options offered by the app.
- Manage notification permissions from the app or device settings.
- Review privacy choices when Google consent tooling requires that option.
- Delete your account and linked data from inside the app.

8. Children's Privacy
BetterTrade is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum digital-consent age required in the user's jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or the website.
