Updates - Extreme Charts

Better Trades Extreme Charts

The ability to update Extreme Charts is a useful option. A subscriber can update their charts many times throughout the course of the day, depending on how frequently they need to see the specific information. Extreme Charts, a tool created by BetterTrades, does not provide streaming information, but offers a nice snapshot of the market or the chart at a specific time.

Every user will want to update their charts at the end of the trading day. This is an essential act before sitting down to look at potential trading candidates for the next day. Extreme Charts allows a user to update their charts approximately two hours after the market closes. You just click a box that indicates you want to conduct an end-of-the-day update. This process usually takes a couple of minutes, depending on the speed of your computer.

A user of Extreme Charts also has the ability to update their charts during the day. This will give you a more accurate picture of how the stock is behaving during the day. This is not an intraday chart, although it can show you how the stock is moving. Users of this update option can request the update be done with or without updating the filters. Most users choose to update without the filters, as this takes less time to complete. Updating with filters is a good idea to do about an hour after the market opens and again in the middle of the afternoon.

The option also permits the program to be updated. New versions of Extreme Charts are released from time to time. When this occurs, the update option is used to import the changes and bring the tool up to date.
